Come and join us!
We are now taking on volunteers to work across the Wyvern Theatre and Swindon Arts Centre.
You would need to be able to offer us at least 2 shifts per month and ideally be willing to work at either venue. The role involves providing customer service support at our shows and events and duties include (but are not limited to) welcoming customers, checking tickets, selling merchandise and Ice Creams, assisting with cleaning the auditorium aster performances and forming an important and vital part of our emergency evacuation procedures as well as supporting the Duty Manager with all aspects of the smooth operation of the Front of House areas.
You need to be confident in cash handling and be confident in approaching and talking to members of the public. Please be aware that although some daytime shifts are available the majority of shows are in the evening and we are unable to provide parking. This role is only open to persons over the age of 17 at the time of applying.
We only open our books for a limited time each year and are only able to take a set amount of new volunteers. If you are interested in joining our team please print and complete the below application form and return it to us no later than 31st January 2020. We will contact successful applicants in early February. Due to the high number of applications we will not be able to contact each applicant. If you have not heard from us by mid February 2020 then your application has not been taken any further on this occasion. We are unable to accept any applications outside of these dates and will update this page with information for our 2021 intake in due course.
