in aid of Alzheimer's Society

Wyvern Theatre - in The Place

Fri 23 March | 6.00 - 7.15pm

Wartime Pie & Punch Party
SHOW INFORMATION

Join us to support Alzheimer’s Society’s national Flashback day, as we flash back in time to celebrate Victory in true British fashion.

Arrive for a 6pm start and exchange your tickets for ration tokens to enjoy a glass of punch (or non-alcoholic alternative) and a serving of delicious dessert pie. Entertainment will come in the form of Swing Out Swindon who will demonstrate Swing Dancing before inviting you to have a go yourself!

The event will finish at 7.15pm, in time for the 7.30pm performance of Birdsong - the mesmerising story of love and courage, set both before and during the First World War. Cast members from the production will be popping in to try their hand at Swing Dancing too!

Why Flashback?

It’s lots of fun for a serious reason, dementia is set to be the 21st century’s biggest killer, with someone developing it every three minutes.

Every pound we help raise through Flashback will help Alzheimer’s Society support those who need it most, to campaign for the rights of people with dementia and to fund research which will unlock the answers to a cure. Just £18 could fund one hour of a PhD student’s time to research the causes of dementia, improve diagnosis, find better treatments and search for a cure.

If you or anyone you know lives with dementia, you may be interested in our monthly Memory Café.

Tickets: £8.00 (£6.00 will go to Alzheimer's Society)

There are no booking fees on this performance. Delivery charges may still apply.
