SHOW INFORMATION

Making up Shakespeare! Improv Workshop with Impromptu Shakespeare

Learn how to use style, character and language improvisation techniques to create the scenes Shakespeare never wrote.
Get to grips with Shakespeare in a very different way – by making it up. Learn how to improvise using style, character and language techniques to create the scenes Shakespeare never wrote. Improvisers from the critically-acclaimed Impromptu Shakespeare will guide you using specially developed games and exercises to refine your Shakespearean improv skills.

Expect to improve your verbal dexterity, emotional range, naturalness and presence, as well as your grasp of iambic pentameter and rich metaphor – useful for actors performing Shakespeare’s works, and improvisers performing in his style. You’ll experience gravitas and beauty, gentle irreverence and hilarity.

Workshop attendees will receive 2 tickets for the price of 1 to the Impromptu Shakespeare performance at 7.30pm. This offer can be redeemed by calling Ticket Office on 01793 524481.
