Student Standby Tickets
Swindon’s number one entertainment venues are proud to offer £5 student standby tickets.
These £5 tickets are available 1 hour before any performance with ticket availability. These tickets are available to anybody over the age of 14 who is in full-time education.
In addition to standby tickets, students are entitled to a discount on any show that has a 'concession' price.
Students can check whether tickets are available for a performance , or whether concession prices apply by visiting the What's On pages or calling the Ticket Office on 01793 524 481.
Recent Student Projects
The Wyvern Theatre & Arts Centre are proud to support the work of local students and are always keen to help inspire and promote creative ideas.
In April Max Tonkin, who is currently studying a professional photography degree at the University of Gloucestershire, undertook a project at the Wyvern as part of his degree course. His project involved photographing what goes on behind-the-scenes at the theatre and Max was able to photograph artists such as pantomime dame Ian Mowat, Soul Sister leading lady Emi Wokoma and comedian Harry Hill. An exhibition of Max’s behind-the-scenes work, for members of the public to catch a glimpse of backstage life, was put on display in our lower foyer for two weeks.
Listen to our behind-the-scenes Podcast where Max explains more about his project.
You can subscribe or listen to the Wyvern's Podcast feed through iTunes and receive regular podcasts from us about the productions and events past and present, or you can listen online .
In 2012 students undertaking their Graphic Design National Award and National Diploma, at Swindon College, were invited to re-design the advertisement poster for our magical pantomime Aladdin.
Poster designs by Rebecca Carter, Charlotte Utton and Craig Cook.
